Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard claims he felt "suicidal" the last time he reached the League Cup Final.
Only Championship side Cardiff stand in the way of the Reds' first trophy in six years.
But the Reds' captain has issued a rallying call to his inexperienced team, by spelling out the disastrous consequences of losing at Wembley on Sunday.
Gerrard said: "The defeat the last time I was in the final was a nightmare - I felt suicidal
That's undertandable. In football these days, you wonder if the impossible is not just put to our faces always. 3 goal leads are not enough to win games, the Birmingham effect et al has really kept Steven G very much alert as they seek to end their Trophy-less run and keep the team back on the track for Glory. the key effect is, if they win then i would say the Pools are back. if not, the Sunset might just continue........
