All is not Blue at the Bridge....

The Chelsea team has been immersed with a lot of back room problems of late. This team has had the likes of Lampard coming out to crtiticise the manager Andrea Villas Boas but still claims "All is well with the team". Recently, David Luiz has come out in defense of the manager  and you all wonder why professional players should be on that when their focus should be on the Club.

The problem of such team is this: The Coach. This has happened during the time of Scolari and Grant. When the team does not respect you, that's done. When Mourinho came to Chelsea, he was not accorded the respect he has today on a platter of Gold. He had to go for the Jugular by benching players like Carvalho and Boularouz to take his stand. Face it, a manager about their age would not be the first person they would be the best option for them to take instructions from. There would also be back room caucus of senior players who would want things to go their way with as it is so there would be a fight.  AVB does not strike me as a man who would dominate the arena and prove his mettle.

AVB out or The "Players", it's between the valuation of the Coach and the players concerned that the board has to choose from...

Transfer Stories of the Day....

It seems that Seydou Keita Might be moving to Liverpool at the end of the season as he granted another interview to express his desire to win trophies in England and all

Arsenal Target Lucas Poldoski has "Allegedly" agreed terms with the club over personal issues and it has only the Cologne board to sanction the transfer. It remains a mystery of how Arsenal intends to deal with their Strike/Forward Over flow. Bendtner, Chamakh, Arshavin have been touted to leave soon but he has Wellington Silva, Vela, Joel Campbell and others as option. Definitely he would have to sell in order to buy..

Barca end Bale pursuit, no surprise really, British players seem to love playing at home and only a handful ply their trade abroad, also their stock seems over hyped in contrast to other Nationals...

Arsenal, Barca and Chelsea also have started hunts for Startlets all round the globe, there have been some news but all's that until confirmed... Stay tuned.

And the Meaning is?

The addition of  National friendly matches has been a case of club/Versus country, patriotism etc... Now, to the real issue: How many matches is considered as a limit for a footballer to play? because for a player in a top club with about 3-4 titles to Fight for, we are talking atleast 40 games a season. That's enough to get someone fagged out. Also, i thought the main objective of a friendly is for the teams to try out new players but in most cases, the Big nations Just bring the GUNs out. For Instance, the case of England Vs Holland has a couple of injuries to Huntellar, Smalling... and they have clubs to play for. The Country is important but they should work out a way to end this saga if not, people might just choose their Clubs ahead of the country and that would be just plain Sad.

The Soccer today..back then.

Yes all, soccer/football today is probably one of the hottest topics in today's news. Also, we can't talk about soccer without talking about the English Premier League. Fans bear harsh weather, surging ticket prices and all just to be in the stadium to cheer the players on and believe me, that has to count as one of the most wonderful feelings a human can have.

That has changed now. When i was growing up, i watched Alan Shearer play for Newcastle  for many years, the love and support from the fans used to be enough, there were the Maldini's, The Del Piero's and all, players who stood by the Club by and Large but now, it's all business.I have not problem with business in soccer but it's also a personal thing, whether it's the fault of the club or the player, the fans bear the brunt. Clubs should always put the needs of the fans first,so do players. I can't imagine Totti leaving Roma for just a 30,000 increase in wages. Absurd! he would never do that so would the others of his time..I believe it's time Uefa enforces it's rules not only on spending but on youth development, etc. There needs to be growth the the Business but also in the Game.We should all take a stand and say No! to all soccer killing elements and get on the passionate and Uniting game called Football...

The Glory should be back to football. Money would buy supporters but never buy fans.

He is Back...Mourinho in England...

Love him or hate him,The Special One is Back! As we all know, he is ready to quit Real regardless of his achievements of the season.Word is that he is ready to make London his base and that might make him a target of Spurs,Chelsea and Arsenal. He is most likely to go to Arsenal should they relieve Arsene Wenger of His duties after 7 years of trophylessness or possibly Tottenham, should Redknapp leave and become England's manager.Chelsea? not impossible. The Roman might just need the manager to make him feel the joy of victory and who else better than the man whom he had once a close relationship with.

Terry To Make Changes..

I remember talking about the new Chief Wolf,Terry Connor. He is prepared to make the necessary changes in order to keep the team in top flight:New Wolves boss Terry Connor has warned his players he is not afraid to wield the axe – after dropping skipper Roger Johnson.
Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle was the first time the £4.5million summer signing had not featured in a top-flight match since his promotion with Birmingham three years ago.
But Connor, who instead handed the armband to Stephen Ward, said: “I’ve told the lads that I will treat every game on its own merits.
“And I will pick what I think is the best team for that game regardless of captaincy, what anyone cost or a player’s reputation.
“When you lose a game 5-1 at home like we did against West Brom you’re not going to send out the same team and the same subs. I went with my gut feeling.”

Why Sack AVB?

That's the Question must people should put through to the owner Roman Abramovich. Why sack a man who i believe is pretty deficient in some areas but can be creative and is leading the team through a phase in football. why sack a manager and go look for another just because you think he can deliver the UCL like a milk boy? if such were the case of the game then we wouldn't be watching football. AVB in my opinion is a rather good manager, and not just from the records but h is in a team that wants a trophy before supporting him. That doesn't happen. Trophies or not,it's where the Club's headed is the bane here, and they are looking to transit from the Old:  Drogba, Lampard, Terry, to the New: Mata. Sturridge, Luiz. Give him a chance and invite him to know of his plans for the Club, if not good then let the Axe fall..

Van Persie Should Stay Only if....

A great week gone and i can say that most Arsenal Fans would be relieved that the looming Spurs Cloud is finally leaving. It's not all over yet because this season, RVP has been in Lethal form and as all players before him, subject to transfer speculations. He has said that he would wait until the summer and come summer Arsenal should know that there stand a chance of losing him if they don't put some things in order.

Firstly, RVP should not resign until they show a Good Resolve signing players. Not just anyone, but players of immense quality.People like Hazard,Gotze, Poldolski, Kagawa,M'Villa, etc. ARsenal need players who would't take a whole season before they start to shine or players who would shine only to recede during the Big matches.

Next, He should ask for Good wages. Face it He is a world Class Player, possibly the Last ARsenal would have if they mess this up.Across the Top 4, he is the least paid. How do you reward over 25 goals??? some contract rewards. People say money isn't everything in soccer and i vehemently support that point. This however is getting it's due.

Lastly, this is for the Board: Please sell some players and get funds that are wasted on receding players and post them to the necessary places..

Red Red Night.....Liverpool 1-1 Cardiff (3-2) Pen

Wonderful Liverpool keep up the trend today of Big Clubs winning. They end their Trophy less run and with such a determined display today, they are ready to build from strength to strength. Congratulations to Liverpool and lots of kudos to Cardiff, They Gave a Fight but Red Rules the Sky tonight..

The 5 guns of Arsenal...

The Gunners are back!!!! such were the chants of a large amount of fans just some minutes ago. It was a memorable 26th for Arsenal as they rallied back from 2 goals down. This is what i want the team to do, 2 goals we can make 5-2, 4 goals we can also make 5-4, i hope this infuses belief in the players and the team also. I would have wanted to pick at some gaping holes but since the day is glorious, I would celebrate with Arsenal and tell them that power might just be at the emirates...
